I ‘ve had my Yahoo mail account in the Korean language for the past six months or so. Today, I decided to use the translate function in the Google Chrome browser to see how well it would translate to English. “Pretty good”, I thought. In fact, it felt so much nicer. It was butter. I forgot how nice it was to read so smoothly through my email pages.

Hi Matt,
My name is Anna, I’m from New Zealand and my partner & I have just been offered ESL jobs in Buan. For a bit of background, I’m 25, he’s 24, we’re University graduates with English majors, I’ve been interested in teaching English in Asia since I was in High School and he’s coming along for the ride (so to speak.)
Google lead me to your blog which I’ve read with great interest, as I have not been able to find out much about where we are (hopefully!) heading in three weeks’ time. I would really like to learn a little more about Buan and if you are still there, perhaps we could meet up?
If you are interested, I have included my email address with this comment and I would be delighted to hear from you. I’ll try to not be an annoying newbie!
Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Anna
